About assessmentQ

assessmentQ workflow

assessmentQ is an online exercise and exam platform: the entire workflow from creation through taking the assignments (exercises and exams) to result processing is possible within one integrated environment.

The schematic representation below represents a typical workflow. This workflow can also be found one-to-one in the navigation structure of the assessmentQ backoffice.

  • The blue line represents the workflow for the participant.

  • The green line represents the workflow for the administrator(s) and the organisers of the assignments (exercises and exams).

  • The grey line represents the underlying API layer: the data for just about all key functions can also be controlled or queried by external systems.

  • For platform administrators, there are two separate modules for User Management and for the platform Settings.

assessmentQ player and backoffice

assessmentQ consists of 2 main applications, each with its own target audience:

  • Taking a test is done by the candidate in the assessmentQ player.

  • The preparation, result processing and live monitoring during the test are done in the so-called back office. In that back office only authors, schedulers, supervisors, graders, analysts and administrators work, but no candidates.
The back office is available in three different languages: English, French and Dutch.

The player and the back office are strictly separated by configurable roles and rights in assessmentQ.
