Changing the status of an item

Background

An item in the item bank of assessmentQ has one of the following statuses by default:

  • Draft
    This is the status of a new item.

  • To be reviewed
    The author can change the status of items that are ready for review to the To be reviewed status.

  • Reviewed
    This is the status of items that have been reviewed.

  • Approved
    This is the status of items that are ready to be used in an assignment.

Note: The administrator can change the available item statuses for your organisation. For more information, see Managing item statuses.

Changing the status of an item

Proceed as follows to change the status of one item:

  1. Go to Authoring > Items.
    Result: You see an overview of your items.

  2. Open the item of your choice.
    Result: The content of the item is displayed.

  3. Open Status in the Item tab at the right.

  4. Choose the required status.

Changing the status of multiple items

Proceed as follows to change the status of multiple items at once:

  1. Go to Authoring > Items.
    Result: You see an overview of your items.

  2. Open the folder that contains the items you want to update.
    Result: The list of items is displayed.

  3. Click on the icon in the upper right corner.
    Result: Check boxes appear next to the items.

  4. Select the boxes next to the items you want to change.

  5. Select Edit item options in the menu at the bottom of the page.​

    Result: The dialog window Edit item options appears.

  6. Select the check box in front of Status and select the new status for your items.

  7. Click Save.
    Result: The selected items all have the new status you selected now.
