Background
The calculator is a supporting tool in assessmentQ that can be activated on the level of an item.
Tip: Activating or deactivating supporting tools in an assignment is done via the assignment template. For more information, see Activating the supporting tools in the player.
Procedure
To activate a supporting tool on item level, proceed as follows:
Go to Authoring > Items.
Result: You see an overview of your items.Open your item in the item bank.
Result: You see the item content page.Open Supporting tools in the Item tab at the right, enable the Calculator and select which calculator you want to enable for this specific item:
Result: The selected calculator is enabled for this item only.
Tip: It is recommended to use linear navigation when you activate a calculator on item level. If you select a different navigation mode, the user will be able to navigate back and forth and use the calculator for other items as well.
