About editing an assignment

As an author, you may want to change the content and/or settings of your assignment. The editing possibilities depend on the status of your assignment:

  • When your assignment has the status Draft, To be reviewed, or Reviewed, you can edit its content and settings without any restrictions. All your changes will be saved automatically.

  • When your assignment has the status Approved, you must first enable the Edit mode before you can modify the content and/or settings of your assignment. Changes to the assignment are not autosaved, but must be explicitly confirmed by you.

  • When your assignment has the status Live, a restricted number of editing possibilities are available via the Edit mode. Changes to the assignment are not autosaved, but must be explicitly confirmed by you.

Note: If you still need to make changes to the content, behaviour, and/or security settings of a live assignment, there are two options:

  • Either you delete all sessions of the live assignment (for more information, see Deleting a session). All results are thereby also removed from the reports and statistics. The assignment will then regain the status Approved.

  • Or you duplicate the assignment. The duplicated assignment will then again receive the status Draft. You can edit the assignment without restrictions and schedule the assignment again.
