Procedure
Proceed as follows to add a new user:
Go to User management
> Users.
Click on
Result: The Add user popup appears.Enter or select the following information:
First name
Last name
E-mail address: the e-mail field is mandatory and must be unique.
Language
User name: this field typically contains an organisation-specific identifier for the user, such as employee number or student number. If you don't have that, you can fill in a copy of the e-mail address.
Birth date (optional)
External ID (optional):
This field can be used to store a user-specific identification number from a third-party platform used in your organisation.
This field is optional, but when it is filled in, the value should be unique.
Password: choose
Allow the user to choose a password.
An e-mail will be sent with a link allowing the user to set his password.Note: For security reasons, the link in the e-mail expires after 24 hours. When the user doesn't set his password in the first 24 hours, an error page is shown. The user can click Resend e-mail to receive a new mail with a valid link.
Choose a password for the user.
Enter a strong password. No e-mail will be sent.
Warning: If you select Choose a password for the user, do not forget to inform the user of his new account and password yourself.
No password.
The user account is created without a password and no registration e-mail is sent to the user.Note: This option is only shown if you have a SSO integration with assessmentQ. You can use this option if you need to create an SSO user upfront (to schedule an assignment for this user, for example).
Click Save to save the data you entered.
Result: The new user will be created.
Note:
A strong password must contain at least 8 characters, including 1 capital, 1 small letter, and 1 special character.
Possible special characters are: _ = ! @ # $ % ^ & * + - . ; [ ] £ € < > / ? , ~ ° § { }
A newly created user is a participant by default, and does not have access to the backoffice. He will be visible in the user management module as a user without any role.
