Introduction
This update introduces the option to integrate Talview Proctoring with assessmentQ, helping you run more secure remote exams. Available in Record & Review mode, it strengthens the exam integrity with AI-powered monitoring and post-exam integrity insights.
We’re also introducing Critical Items, which let you mark key questions that must be answered correctly to pass - a valuable feature for safety or compliance-focused exams.
The Distractor Generator has graduated from beta! After positive feedback from early adopters, it’s now a fully supported AI feature that helps you quickly generate high-quality alternative answers for multiple-choice questions.
Finally, we’ve made several accessibility and usability improvements to ensure an even smoother experience for both your teams and candidates.
Monitoring remote exams
We are proud to introduce a new monitoring module, Remote Exams, which offers integration with Talview’s Record and Review proctoring solution. When activated:
The participant’s activity during the exam is fully recorded, including webcam, audio, screen recording, and optionally, a second camera.
Potential malpractice events are automatically flagged.
For each exam session, an AI-based integrity score of possible misconduct is automatically calculated.
The seamless integration with the Talview proctoring solution allows you to review the recorded exam sessions directly within the assessmentQ Remote Exams module:
Note: The Talview proctoring integration is an add-on. It is not enabled by default in your assessmentQ environment. If you are interested in using the proctoring integration, please contact Televic Education via [email protected].
Critical items
As an author, you can now define rules for critical items in your assignment.
These rules will be applied in the evaluation of the participants' sessions and will determine whether the participants pass or fail the assignment regardless of whether they achieved the passing score.
Notes: Critical items is a beta feature. It is not enabled by default in your assessmentQ environment. If you don't have access to this feature, please contact your assessmentQ administrator. More information.
AI-based distractor generator
Some time ago we introduced our first AI-based feature, the automatic distractor generator for multiple choice questions.
This feature proved to be a great assistance for our authors. After positive feedback from many of our customers, it has graduated from beta and is now a fully supported feature helping authors to quickly generate high-quality alternative answers for multiple-choice questions.
Improvements
Quick link to Code page
As a backoffice user, you will notice that a quick link to the Code page has been added in your dashboard and in the preferences in your profile.
Improved accessibility and usability
We have made several updates to improve the accessibility and usability for both backoffice users and participants.
Removed features
The settings for Text related to the result of an assignment have been removed from the tab Messages and warnings in the assignment template.
As an author, you can directly enter or update the text in the Score and result settings of your assignment. For more information, see Showing a result based end message to the participant.
Square brackets in math entry
Participants can no longer enter square brackets in a math question using the keyboard. Square brackets need to be added via the buttons that are provided in the math questions.
