Managing CheatGuard templates

About CheatGuard and CheatGuard templates

CheatGuard is a real-time integrity assistant for supervisors. It adds an extra layer of security to onsite exams through real-time alerts, preventive exam controls, and logged exam events.

As an administrator, you define the integrity measures in the CheatGuard templates:

  • When scheduling onsite exams, a scheduler can choose a CheatGuard template to enforce additional integrity measures during the exam. More information.

  • Participants who do not comply with these integrity measures during their exam will see a warning.

  • In the Onsite exams monitoring module, sessions with the most warnings automatically appear at the top of the list so that supervisors can act quickly. More information.

CheatGuard templates can be managed by administrators only.

Schedulers can use the templates you provide, but they cannot make any modifications to the templates.

Note: CheatGuard is available as an early adoption program. Interested in early access? Reach out to our Customer Success team via [email protected] to enroll in the early adoption program.

Result: You see the list of the CheatGuard templates.

  2. Click on at the top right corner.

  3. At the top of the page, enter the name of your template.

  4. Configure the CheatGuard player options to your needs.

Result: Your CheatGuard template is saved automatically and is ready to be used by a scheduler.

Editing a CheatGuard template

Proceed as follows to edit a CheatGuard template:

  1. Go to Settings > Templates > CheatGuard templates.
Result: You see the list of the CheatGuard templates.

  2. Click on the template you want to edit.

  3. Change the CheatGuard player options to your needs.
Result: The changes are saved automatically.

Note: If this template is already used in a schedule, the changes are not automatically applied to the exams in the schedule. A warning is shown in the schedule. The changes will only take effect after editing the schedule and updating the CheatGuard template to the latest version.

Deleting a CheatGuard template

Proceed as follows to delete a CheatGuard template:

  1. Go to Settings > Templates > CheatGuard templates.
Result: You see the list of the CheatGuard templates.

  2. Click on the three dots next to the template of your choice. Alternatively, open the template and click the three dots in the upper-right corner.

  3. Select Delete.
Result: The template will be removed from the list as long as it is not being used in a schedule. If it is used, a warning will appear indicating that it cannot be deleted because it is included of one or more schedules.

Note: You cannot delete the last remaining template. The option to delete will be disabled when only one template is available.
